As a unique, world-class destination, the plaza for new performing arts center will be a place of celebration for outdoor performances and events and as a destination of choice for arts, cultural, and entertainment programming. Centrally located on two city blocks in the core of downtown Orlando, the complex will serve a diverse community by educating and nurturing artists, arts organizations, audiences, and students throughout the region and the state of Florida. With a mixture of culture, commerce, retail, hospitality and residential development, the Performing Arts Center is the showcase for the region’s performance groups, including the Orlando Philharmonic, Orlando Ballet, Orlando Opera and Festival of Orchestras. The Center will include two large performance halls, a 300-seat theater, educational facilities, a public outdoor performance plaza for audiences up to +3,000, new streetscapes, and commercial development.
